PIERRE, SD -

The South Dakota State Historical Society is showing film footage of President John F. Kennedy's visit to the dedication ceremony of the Oahe Dam in 1962 Society at the Cultural Heritage Center on Sunday.

The film footage features audio recording of President Kennedy's speech at the dedication of the dam on Aug. 17, 1962. It also includes footage of various stages of the Oahe Dam's construction. The film will be shown at 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.
