Crowds continue to pay their respects to former U.S. Senator George McGovern.

McGovern died on Sunday at the age of 90.   

People streamed into a Sioux Falls Church all Thursday afternoon for a public viewing, and at 6:30 p.m., the First United Methodist Church is expected to be at capacity for McGovern's evening prayer service.

The service will feature a number of former colleagues and people who knew McGovern personally.  Vice President Joe Biden is among the scheduled speakers.  His plane was spotted in Sioux Falls just after 6 p.m.

Two prominent South Dakota Democrats are hosting the event, Stephanie Herseth Sandlin and Scott Heidepriem.  Other speakers include Senator Tim Johnson, Robert Duffet and Steve Hildebrand.
