SIOUX FALLS, SD -

People across the country and South Dakota are reflecting on the life of  US Senator George McGovern who died over the weekend in Sioux Falls.

Now family members are in the process of planning his memorial and funeral.  They've decided that McGovern will be laid to rest by the end of this week.

The funeral is scheduled for Friday at 1 p.m. at the Mary W. Sommervold Hall of the Washington Pavilion in Downtown Sioux Falls.
