Scattered showers continue to drift across eastern KELOLAND this morning as a strong storm system continues to slowly drift away from the area. Temperatures and cool this morning, but afternoon temps will warm into the lower 60s in the west, with 40s still likely in Sioux Falls where clouds and scattered showers will still be possible.
Winds will continue to diminish through the day and that trend will continue tomorrow. A much stronger surge of warmer air is also in the forecast tomorrow and highs will be much warmer in the 60s and 70s. The warmest weather will be found along the Nebraska with highs near 80.
The warmest air will drift east on Sunday with highs in Sioux Falls close to 70. There will be some changes early next week as cooler air will be likely with a front on Monday and Tuesday. Some rain showers will be possible in the west, perhaps even some snow showers in the Black Hills.
The weather trend will be toward more unsettled weather later next week, but details are uncertain at this time. More on that later today.
