Wind is picking up this morning across KELOLAND along with some areas of showers. Most of the rain will continue to track east into western MN and NW IA before noon.
Winds will be the big weather story with high wind warnings in effect much of western and central SD. Our forecast is for winds of 40-60mph with gusts near 70mph in Rapid City.
Winds won’t be that strong in Sioux Falls, but they will be gusty through the day.
Another batch of rain will develop tonight and tomorrow, mainly in eastern KELOLAND. Some of the rainfall amounts could be in the half inch range.
The rain will be accompanied by more wind with another round of northwest winds at 30-50+mph.
The forecast will be quieter by Friday, and the weekend is looking warmer with highs in the 60s and 70s.
