Supporters of Ronald ‘RJ’ Johnson will be separated from those protesting the death penalty on Monday night.
Supporters will be across the street from the protesters. There’s also a temporary fence that’ll help separate the two groups.
KELOLAND News spoke with a lady who will be at the penitentiary Monday showing her support for the death penalty. She was also here in 2007 when Elijah Page was executed. And she said, at that time, about ten other people in favor of the death penalty were there on the same side of the road with her. While, on the other side, she said about 100 people were protesting the death penalty.
Monday night we are expected to see people who are both supporters of the death penalty and those who support RJ Johnson come to the penitentiary.
