SF Roller Dollz Take On Men's Team

October 13, 2012, 9:59 PM by David Brown

SF Roller Dollz Take On Men's Team

It's not every day you get a battle of the sexes in an athletic competition, but the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz derby team took on a men's team from Fargo, North Dakota Saturday night.

It's the first time they've ever battled a men's team in competition. The event raises money for the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation.

"I think it's kind of funny," Joy "Destructive Delight" Falencik of the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz said. "We're playing men and the proceeds are going to breast cancer, so it kind of all works out. We try to pick our charities to what's going on.

Roller Dollz events have raised more than $45,000 for various charities over the years.
