Stop Signs At 14th And Minnesota This Weekend

October 12, 2012, 5:20 PM by Kelly Bartnick

Stop Signs At 14th And Minnesota This Weekend

A busy Sioux Falls intersection already mired down by construction is about to get even more congested.

This weekend, the traffic lights at 14th Street and Minnesota Avenue will be turned off so crews can do some work on the traffic signals.  Drivers who go through the intersection will have to go through a four-way stop.

Construction along 14th Street is already limiting traffic to just two lanes east of Minnesota Avenue.  But having stop signs in place over the weekend will likely slow traffic even more.

Officials say if you are in the area, try to find an alternate route to your destination to avoid the traffic congestion.

New stop lights are supposed to be ready and working by Monday morning.
