SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The Yankton native, saved his best for last, firing a season-best 71 (-1) to sit atop the individual leaderboard through day one. Mueller followed that showing with a 10-over 82 effort Tuesday to maintain a two-shot lead over Tyler Koivisto of St. Cloud State and Kowan O’Keefe of Minot State.

With Mueller’s help, USF sits second in the team race with a two-day score of (315-317=632), placing them eight strokes back of St. Cloud State in first.
