Storm Center Update - Tuesday PM

October 10, 2012, 2:26 PM by Scot Mundt

Cooler air will start to move through KELOLAND tonight as winds favor a northerly direction.  Clouds will slowly increase for the overnight, but we’ll stay dry as lows fall to the thirties.

Thursday will be cooler with partly cloudy skies; we’ll have highs in the fifties.  North winds will help with the cooler air at ten to twenty miles per hour.

South winds will increase ahead of the approaching storm system for the weekend.  The south winds will help increase the temperatures on Friday and Saturday with highs returning to the sixties for many of us by Saturday.  The best chance for rain is still in eastern and southeast KELOLAND with only slight chances in central and western South Dakota.  The models keep fluctuating on the rain amounts, but as of now parts of the east and southeast have a chance to average a quarter to a third of an inch.  Higher amounts will be found in Iowa and Minnesota.  Far less amounts in central and western South Dakota.

Temperatures will not cool much behind the system as it looks like sixties will remain in KELOLAND on Sunday and into early next week.
