Storm Center Update - Friday PM

October 5, 2012, 2:23 PM by Scot Mundt

Winds will once again die down as we go through the evening and into tonight.  With the lighter winds, low temperatures will fall close to twenty degrees in many locations.  Areas of northern KELOLAND will fall to the teens.  The isolated snow showers in western and southwest South Dakota will eventually go away, leaving behind light snow amounts.

The weekend will start cold, but it will gradually warm.  Saturday afternoon will have highs in the forties in eastern KELOLAND to the lower fifties in central and western South Dakota.  Sunday morning will be another cold one with temperatures in the middle twenties in eastern KELOLAND, low thirties in central and western South Dakota.  Sunday afternoon will warm to the fifties to near sixty degrees in eastern South Dakota to the low sixties in central and western South Dakota.

The warmth will continue into Monday with widespread sixties.  Next week will remain below average, but temperatures will not be as cold as this weekend.  Expect fifties and sixties through much of next week.
