Storm Center Update - Thursday PM

September 27, 2012, 3:14 PM by Scot Mundt

Scattered light showers will continue to roll across the Hills of western South Dakota this afternoon.  Anything that falls will stay light with amounts generally less than a tenth of an inch.  Skies will remain dry in central and eastern KELOLAND.

Friday will be another dry and warm day in the central and east.  Temperatures will remain well above average with highs near eighty in the east to the middle eighties in central South Dakota.  Western South Dakota will be a little cooler with highs in the middle seventies along with thicker clouds.  There will still be a twenty percent chance for an isolated shower in western South Dakota on Friday but the amounts will stay light.

The weekend will be dry and warm with temperatures remaining above average.  Widespread eighties will be common.  The warmth will continue through midweek of next week, and then much cooler air will take hold of the upper plains by next weekend.
