BURNSVILLE, MN -
Augustana’s Emily Kvidera has been chosen Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference golfer of the week for the second consecutive week.
The senior from Blaine, Minn., was the runner-up at the Wildwood Lodge/Concordia Invite with a 36-hole total of 150, six over par. Kvidera’s effort helped Coach Peggy Kirby’s Vikings to their first team title of the 2012-13 season. A total of 83 golfers competed for the individual crown.
Augustana’s two-day total of 305-315—620 was four strokes better than runner-up Grand Valley State. Kvidera posted rounds of 74-76.
Kvidera was cited by the NSIC a week after securing a runner-up finish at the Drury University Fall Shootout in Bolivar, Mo.
The NSIC’s newcomer of the year as a freshman, Kvidera has earned conference player of the week honors five times during her collegiate career.
