The weekend should be summer-like and pleasant but most will have continued dryness. If you are heading out to Friday Night Football you may want to pack a light jacket as temperatures will fall after kickoff. Eventually we will cool to the middle 40s to near 50. Skies will be clear from now through late tomorrow.
The big change tomorrow will be the stronger south winds. The breeze will be noticeable at times, especially in southern KELOLAND. That means we could easily see some 90s in the west and south, particularly in areas like Winner and Martin.
By Sunday you could see a few more clouds in the north. An approaching cold front coming from North Dakota and Montana will pump some areas up to mostly cloudy levels. FutureScan and some other computer tools want to bring very light showers to the ND-SD border by early afternoon on Sunday we think most rain will hold off until late Sunday.
The best chance for rain this coming week is in southeastern KELOLAND late Sunday night into Monday. The air arriving will be quite a bit cooler, as well. It looks like a similar setup to what we saw earlier this week with thicker clouds. Monday through Thursday highs will only be in the 60s, with a few areas topping 70. There are chances for isolated showers East River Wednesday and Thursday but as of today, they don’t look well organized.
