A South Dakota man has been sentenced to more than a year in prison for assaulting another person with a paring knife.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced last week that 41-year-old Loren Dog Eyes, of Rosebud, was sentenced to one year and nine months in custody and one year of supervised release for the March incident.
Dog Eyes pleaded guilty to the charge in June.
Dog Eyes was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal's Service.
