Baby Giraffe Adjusting To Life At Great Plains Zoo

The newest addition to the Great Plains Zoo isn't even a week old, but he's already tall enough to play basketball.

This baby giraffe was born Sunday at the zoo, weighing just under 150 pounds and standing about six feet tall.
The zoo's staff monitored his birth from the lobby of the Giraffe Barn.

In a few months, he'll be sticking his neck out at the zoo's African Savannah exhibit.
