Non-Profit Group Protests For Expectant Mothers

September 3, 2012, 6:11 PM by Hailey Higgins

Non-Profit Group Protests For Expectant Mothers
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Protesters were on the corner of 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue. The rally is one of more than 100 happening across the country, as part of the "National Rally for Change on Labor Day."

The non-profit group called ‘Improving Birth’ wants to bring awareness to the lack of information expectant mothers are receiving. That includes what they believe are the over-use of c-sections and inductions.

“I have had some amazing births and I have had some traumatic births. I have eight daughters. I want them to have amazing births. I want them to have the options that are working across the country,” organizer Debbie Pease said.

Protesters were out from 10 a.m. until noon on Monday.
