Testimony Underway In Rape Trial
Kevin Buchholtz

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The trial for a Valley Springs man accused of raping a six-year-old girl is underway.

57-year-old Kevin Buchholtz is charged with two counts of first-degree rape, sexual contact with a child and indecent exposure.

On Thursday, a jury heard a taped interview of a six-year-old girl who said Buchholtz touched her inappropriately inside his Valley Springs home.  At one point in the interview, the six-year-old said Buchholtz told her not to tell anyone or he would go to jail.

Once authorities started investigating, other young victims came forward.

The trial is expected to wrap up on Friday.
