67 Cases Of West Nile Virus Reported This Year

We are seeing the highest number of reported cases of West Nile virus since 2007.

Twenty-six new cases of the virus have been reported in South Dakota, bringing this year’s total to 67. One death has also been reported from the virus this year.

In 2007, 208 cases were reported.

So far, the virus has been found in 28 counties in South Dakota.
