Sen. Thune Reacts To Romney's VP Annoucement
John Thune

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The pick is in. Mitt Romney, the likely Republican nominee for President, officially announced Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate for Vice President.

Romney introduced Ryan, ironically enough, in front of the de-commissioned U.S.S. Wisconsin in Virginia early Saturday morning.

There were a number of candidates on Romney's list for Vice President, including South Dakota Senator John Thune.

Thune believes the choice guarantees the economy will remain the number one issue come Election Day.

“I think it's a strong choice," Thune said. "Paul Ryan brings a very bold, strong economic vision to the campaign. I think he will be a very good compliment to Governor Romney and I think it insures this won't be a dull campaign."
