Five Inches Of Rain Falls In Webster Area
WEBSTER, SD -

While portions of South Dakota remain dry, farmers in the northeastern part of the state are celebrating.

More than five inches of rain fell overnight.  Farmers say they were about four days away from significant damage to their crops.  But one farmer is still expecting about a 40 percent cut in yield even with the rain.

Officials say the rain will help the fire danger in that area.
