Quick, Heavy Rain Floods Watertown Business

Quick, Heavy Rain Floods Watertown Business

People in Watertown are cleaning up after more than three inches of rain created flash flooding overnight.

The rain brought about a foot of standing water to city roads and about seven inches of water into eleven rooms at the Budget One Motel on 8th Avenue.  All but one of the rooms had people staying in them.  One woman's clothing is all soaked; she also lost her cell phone.

Most of the water has receded but there are still areas with sitting water.

Ron Pepper sent us the photo below of flash flooding on 1st Avenue.  You can share your photos through our KELOLAND uShare Photo Gallery

We'll bring you more details of the damage throughout the day on KELOLAND News.
