Polls Close In Eastern SD; 1 Hour Of Voting In Western SD
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The polls are closed to voters in eastern South Dakota.  People in the western part of the state have until 7 p.m. MDT to cast a ballot in the primary election.

Voters in the state are picking the candidates they want to move on to the November election.  While the state's presidential primary may be one of the last in the country, there are more than two dozen legislative races between the South Dakota House and Senate where candidates from the same party are facing off against each other.

In addition, there are two men involved in the Democratic contest to see who will run against Congresswoman Kristi Noem.  Jeff Barth and Matt Varilek are both hosting events with supporters Tuesday evening.

KELOLAND News will have extensive coverage as the results come in from the Secretary of State's office.  From updates on KELO-TV to live results on KELOLAND.com, KELOLAND News crews are working hard to keep you informed.
