Two Arrested In Murder Investigation
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Two men are behind bars after a man was found beaten to death in northeast Sioux Falls.

Police were called to the 1100 block of North Cliff Avenue Thursday around 6:45 p.m. and searched a wooded area near East 1st Street and Blauvelt Avenue for several hours.  They later found the body of a homeless man in an area neighbors say was being used as a homeless camp.  It appeared he had been beaten.

A search for people with information in the beating led police to make two arrests.  Forty-three-year-old Eugene Martin is charged with first degree murder.  Fifty-two-year-old Clint Cottonwood is charged with simple assault.  Police say both men were transients.

The victim's name has not been released.
