SD Soft Drink Plant To Close

April 23, 2012, 10:38 AM

HURON, SD -

A Pepsi-Cola franchisee says it's closing its soft drink plant in Huron.

The last day of production will be May 17. Ten full-time employees are affected.

Wis-Pak Inc. subsidiary WP Beverages purchased Pepsi-Cola of Huron in 2009. Terms were not disclosed.

Wis-Pak is headquartered in Watertown, Wis. The Huron plant is one of eight Wis-Pak manufacturing sites across the central United States.

The Huron facility produces a juice drink called Hogwash. The company says that production will be moved to one of Wis-Pak's other locations.
