Council Names New Legislative Expert

April 11, 2012, 4:48 PM by Brady Mallory

Council Names New Legislative Expert
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The city of Sioux Falls will soon have a new legislative expert.

Jim David from the Better Business Bureau is the new Legislative Operations Manager.  He will keep city council members up-to-date on federal, state and local legislative activities.

This job is a result of splitting the city clerk position into two parts.

"The Sioux Falls City Council members are part time and the roles and responsibilities have increased.  It only makes sense to have somebody dedicated to their specific needs," David said.

David will leave the Better Business Bureau next month to begin this job.

The City Council will finalize his position next Monday.
