Ansel Adams Photos Coming To Washington Pavilion

February 28, 2012, 8:41 PM by Brady Mallory

Ansel Adams Photos Coming To Washington Pavilion
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

It's a name synonymous with photography, and now it's coming to Sioux Falls.

Crews are setting up the Ansel Adams exhibit, which opens at the Washington Pavilion next month.  Pavilion officials raised about $50,000 to pay for the 50 piece exhibit.

Director of Visual Arts Center David Merhib expects a big turnout since Adams' work is on everything from stamps to calendars.

"I was in the grocery store the other day and two people in front of me said, 'Do you know Ansel Adams is going to the Washington Pavilion?'  I'm thinking, do I say anything?  I let them have their conversation.  So, there is excitement," Merhib said.

The exhibit begins on March 3 and runs through June.
