Governor Finalizing State Budget Address

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard is putting the finishing touches on next year's state budget.
The Governor is expected to give his annual budget speech Tuesday afternoon to lawmakers.
His staff has hinted that the 2012 budget may be able to provide more money to schools, state employees and medical programs.
With tax collections rising more than expected, the outlook is much brighter than it was last winter.
Unlike years past, the governor and his staff are not yet releasing details of his budget proposals prior to the address.
