November 28, 2011, 11:25 AM
HURON, SD -
South Dakota state Republican Rep. Jim White of Huron says he will seek the open state Senate seat in District 22.
The seat will open up in a year because incumbent Republican Sen. Tom Hansen of Huron is term-limited and can't run for the Senate again.
White was first elected to the House in 2010. He serves on the appropriations committee.
