Small Business Saturday Alive In SF

SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Black Friday may be over, but shopping is still popular this weekend and not just at the mall or bigger chains. Local retailers are benefiting from Small Business Saturday.
Downtown Sioux Falls is just one area seeing an increase in foot traffic this weekend. DeAnn Echols runs The Great Outdoor store downtown, and says it's a great atmosphere for families to shop and enjoy time together. And this year, small business shopping seems to be more popular.
"I think that this year it seems that there was a lot more interest in Small Business Saturday, I think a lot more people knew about it and asked us about it than in the past, so it's something that I think is coming into the mainstream and that people are thinking about and that shopping locally is becoming more and more important," Echols said.
Some customers we spoke with even said they avoided Black Friday and waited until Saturday to do their shopping.
