City Clerk Terminated From Position
SIOUX FALLS, SD - Wednesday evening Sioux Falls City Clerk Debra Owen told KELOLAND News that she was terminated from her duties.

Owen was dismissed after a two hour executive session that started at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

The mayor, city council and city attorney were part of the executive session Wednesday.  It followed a three-hour executive session involving the same people on Monday night.

No one is commenting on why she was dismissed from her position.

Vernon Brown, Kenny Anderson and Greg Jamison were the only council members to vote no on the motion coming out of executive session.

Owen did make a statement about her career as city clerk after the meeting. Tune in to KELOLAND News at 10 for more information.
