SD Regents Expanding Reach Of Some Degrees
April 3, 2010, 7:09 PM
The South Dakota Board of Regents is expanding the reach of some of the state university system's degrees.
Dakota State University will offer its bachelor of science in elementary education and special education through the Internet,
and Northern State University will offer its master's degrees in teaching and learning and leadership and administration in Huron. And now available in Sioux Falls will be a bachelor of science in sociology from South Dakota State University and a master's of social work from the University of South Dakota.
Regents Executive Director Jack Warner says the goal is to make degrees more convenient and accessible for more students, many of whom work full time while taking care of their families.
