A compound reportedly occupied by members of polygamist leader Warren Jeffs' sect keeps expanding near Pringle even though Jeffs is behind bars in Utah.
The group has built several structures on the 100-acre property southwest of Pringle since October 2003.

Jeffs is a leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which practices polygamy. He was caught in August and faces charges in Utah and Arizona.
Investigators have said they thought the Pringle compound was among places where Jeffs had hidden, but state and federal authorities say they can't confirm that.
A Custer County official says the group has built one or two lodges a year on the gated compound, each about three-thousand square feet, with large kitchens and living rooms, plus separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
A group with ties to the church has purchased another 40 acres next to the compound.
The assessed value is about one and a half million dollars. But after a planned new lodge is built, the assessment likely will be as much as three million dollars.
