Warren Jeffs Arrested In Las Vegas

Warren Jeffs Arrested In Las Vegas
The FBI says fugitive polygamist Mormon sect leader Warren Jeffs has been arrested in Las Vegas.

The FBI placed the leader of a polygamist group with possible ties to South Dakota on its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Officials hoped the added exposure and the $100,000 reward money will result in his arrest. He's the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jeffs was wanted in Arizona on charges of sexual conduct with a minor. He's also accused of arranging marriages between underage girls and older men and has been charged in Utah with rape as an accomplice. Jeffs also faces a charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Authorities say Jeffs had safe houses in several states, including a compound in the southern Black Hills.
