Wild Water West Turns Red

July 28, 2012, 6:39 PM

Wild Water West Turns Red

The wave pool at Wild Water West changed color Saturday afternoon.

A sea of red flooded the park in support of the American Heart Association's "Paint the Park Red."

Park-goers bought red t-shirts to pool their support for the Heart Walk in Sioux Falls later this month.

Allen Meeks of Sioux Falls attended the event. His daughter has endured four heart surgeries and he's amazed at the community's support.

"Sioux falls, you can't compare it to any other place, the people are extremely giving and not only here, but at the heart walk that's coming up and throughout the whole year,” Meeks said.

All proceeds from the t-shirts will go to the Heart Association and Wild Water West's participation in the heart the walk.
