Widely scattered showers and storms will continue this evening in western, central, and northeast KELOLAND. Some of the storms in the Hills will become strong to severe. Cumulus clouds are trying to build along the Missouri River from near Lake Andes east to Yankton. We’ll see if these clouds continue to build, but the temperatures may just be too warm for any storms to form.
The best chance for rain tonight will be in central and eastern KELOLAND (mainly north of Highway 14). This is where a boundary can be the focal point for showers and storms. Temperatures will eventually fall to the sixties and seventies tonight.
Wednesday will be another day with slight chances for showers and storms. After Wednesday, we’ll heat right back to the one hundreds by Friday. The weekend will be dry and hot.
