This week has been another hot one, but when compared to last week, it's not that bad.
The core of the heat this week is well to our west, where parts of California and Nevada have been dealing with triple digits. While we're still experiencing temperatures in the 80s and 90s, it's not like last week.
That's when temperatures from Colorado through the plains and to the east coast all baked in 90 and 100 degree heat. It was capped off with 19 communities in southeast KELOLAND reporting triple-digit heat last Friday.
Last weekend brought cooler temperatures and drier air but little rain fell. While the cooler weather didn't stay away long, the dry air has with low dew points continuing into much of this week.
But you may have noticed there's a little more moisture in the air now. With the increase in humidity, we'll try to spark rain over the next couple of days.
