Despite a few sprinkles, the extended forecast remains mainly dry. I've tweaked the short-term forecast just a little bit; Pierre looks to be slightly warmer today and there are stray shower chances.
Morning showers along I-90 and down towards Wagner and Mitchell really never had much to start with and we won't see much more as the system moves into Minnesota. Skies in the southeast should get progressively clearer through the afternoon. In the northeast, clouds arrive from Canada. A few of these could sneak in a brief shower but I am not expecting much rainfall to accumulate.
Tonight slim rainfall chances will stay in for Aberdeen while most other areas clear out.
For the workweek you should expect lots of sunshine and slowly warming high temperatures. Friday looks hot ahead of a new frontal system. Saturday (at least for now) looks to be just a little bit cooler. For now, shower chances remain very unorganized as most of the moisture evades us.
Once again, it's a quiet forecast with warming temperatures and minimal rain.
