July Buys

July Buys

Fourth of July sales will be in full swing this week.  From summer merchandise to Black Friday in July, here's what you can expect to save on this month.

If history repeats itself, you may hear of some Black Friday sales in July.  Target has held them two years in a row.  But so far the retailer has not announced such a sale this year-but you may want to watch for one.

Mid-season is a good time to find sandals and flip flops on sale.  Look for flip flops under $5 and sales on popular designer brand sandals.

Grills also begin to drop in price this month.  But if you can hold off, you'll probably get a better deal in August.  According to there were 30 percent more deals in August of last year than there were for July.

Some other traditional summer type items like sunglasses and patio sets also have steeper discounts in September and October than they do now, according to dealnews.

But if you need to stock up on tools or replace what you have, July is one of the best months for sales on tool sets, accessories and storage.

And while the new MacBook Pro Retina is top dollar, the year-old MacBook Air is now hitting new lows with prices starting at $740 in July.

And those 46"-47" HD-TVs that hit new lows last month will remain on sale through July. According to anything at or below $490 is an all-time low for this category.
