Storm Center Update - Tuesday PM

July 3, 2012, 3:39 PM by Scot Mundt

One more day of hot weather, then cooler temperatures and rain will move through KELOLAND.

The dry, hot, and muggy conditions will continue through the evening.  Clouds will slowly increase late this evening and tonight with scattered storms possible in western, central, and northeast KELOLAND.  Lows will only fall to the seventies in many locations.

The heat will continue for the Fourth of July.  Highs will climb to the nineties in central and eastern South Dakota.  Some areas in southeast KELOLAND will be pushing one hundred degrees.  Cooler weather will move through KELOLAND behind a cold front that will move west to east during the late afternoon and evening on Wednesday.

The front will stall in southeast KELOLAND on Thursday.  This is good news, as scattered showers and storms will fire in western, central, and northeast KELOLAND.  The southeast will get a chance at rain Thursday night into Friday.  Everyone will have isolated showers and storms possible on Saturday before dry weather on Sunday.  Temperatures will also slowly fall to the middle eighties for highs this weekend.
