Police Investigating Morning Bank Robbery

Sioux Falls Police are investigating a bank robbery at the Great Western Bank on North Sycamore Avenue near 6th Street. It happened around 7:30 a.m.

Police say a black man in his 20s was waiting at the bank when an employee came to open up.  He showed a handgun,  followed the employee inside and demanded money.

The suspect escaped on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.  He's described as being 5' 8" and weighing 145 pounds.

Police are now searching the area for the suspect. Anyone with information should call police or Crime Stoppers at 367-7007 or 1-877-367-7007.
