Greenway Project To Close Road, Bike Trail

June 25, 2012, 6:14 AM

Greenway Project To Close Road, Bike Trail

The next phase of the River Greenway will detour some traffic in Downtown Sioux Falls.

Eastbound lanes of 8th Street will be closed from the Big Sioux River to the east one block to Reid Street.  Westbound lanes will not be affected.  That's expected to last until November.

The bike trail will also be closed from 8th Street to 11th Street for the rest of the year.  Signs will take people on an alternate route.

Some lanes of Cliff Avenue will also be closed at 30th Street as crews work to replace water services in the area.  Traffic will be allowed through in both directions at all times.
