The afternoon heat is trying to ruin the thunderstorm chances this afternoon. If we get anything going, the showers and storms will start this afternoon in west central Minnesota, and then back build to the southwest. Expect this to happen after 4:00 in Minnesota and after 6:00 in South Dakota. Some of the storms will become strong to severe this evening. This is associated with a cold front which will bring an end to the heat and humidity in southeast KELOLAND. Rain will also be possible behind the front tonight for eastern KELOLAND. Lows will fall to the fifties and sixties tonight.
Wednesday will be cooler with slight chances for rain in eastern KELOLAND. Temperatures will be in the seventies on Wednesday, which is below average. Warmer weather will quickly return on Thursday with dry skies. Scattered showers and storms will have to be watched for Friday and Saturday with temperatures in the eighties. Along with the warmer air, the humidity will also be high through the weekend.
