African Children's Choir Performs In Sioux Falls

June 17, 2012, 10:02 PM by Lindsey Branwall

African Children's Choir Performs In Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Despite the thousands of miles in between, Sioux Falls residents could hear the sounds of Africa Sunday morning.

The African Children's Choir performed at Hillcrest Church in Sioux Falls. Kids from Uganda sang, danced and played the drums for the churches two Sunday services.

The choir helps kids that grew up in poverty stricken villages go to school after singing with the choir.

One choir member told the group in Sioux Falls that with the organizations help, he was able to go to college and get a degree in economics.

Their schooling opportunities are funded through the organization by sponsorships.

If you’d like to learn more about becoming a sponsor visit the African Children’s Choir website.
