SIOUX FALLS, SD -
It didn't take very long, Washington football standout Nate Gerry confirmed he committed to play his college ball at Nebraska Saturday afternoon. Gerry picked the Cornhuskers over other schools such as Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota and Arizona State.
Gerry is about to enter his senior year with the Warriors. Last season, the 6-foot-2, 208-pounder, made a name for himself as a safety ending up with 73 tackles, three interceptions and two sacks.
Late last month he told KELOLAND Sports he was interested in the Big 12 and Big Ten and he wasn't kidding.
"I know the teams that I've been looking at are in the Big Ten and Big 12. I'm just going to stay open to everything. I'm not going to rank any schools. I'm just going to be open to all the schools and see which one fits me best," Gerry said.
It seems he is all in with the Blackshirts.
