SIOUX FALLS, SD -
A South Dakota Air National Guard unit soon will be heading to duty overseas.
U.S. Sens. Tim Johnson and John Thune and Gov. Dennis Daugaard were speaking Monday at the mobilization ceremony in Sioux Falls for the 114th Fighter Wing Security Forces.
The unit is deploying to southeast Asia for six months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The 31 soldiers first will go to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida for their final training.
