April Buys

From home improvement projects to spring clothing, April can be month to spend some money.  But what can you get the best price on this month and what should you hold off on buying?

Deals on Cruises
We told you about the sinking prices on cruises last month on Your Money Matters.  It turns out this month is a good time to book a cruise and save as much as 11 percent over last year.

Tablet Prices Lower
When Apple came out with its new iPad last month, it continued to make and sell the iPad 2 for $100 cheaper.  Other tablet manufacturers are also dropping their prices, including the Amazon Kindle Fire, which went to a new all-time low.

Jewelry Sales
If you're looking to buy mom some jewelry this year, do it this month, instead of right before Mother's Day.  The price of jewelry tends to go up in May along with jewelry sales.

Spring Clothing
Now you could get a discount on spring clothing, dealnews says hold off a few weeks if you can. The lowest prices, albeit a reduced selection, are available in May.

Office Furniture
You'll also get a better deal on office furniture in both May and June than in April.

Buying a Grill
And if you're anxious to start the season off with a new grill, you'll pay more than you would in June or even after the Fourth of July.

Home Improvement Store Sales
If you're itching to plant, paint or stain a deck, home improvement stores are starting their sales earlier this year, thanks to the mild winter.
