The capital of South Dakota is changing from Pierre to Canton - but just for a day.
Canton will celebrate being chosen as South Dakota's Capital for a Day with a variety of events planned for Wednesday, September 28.
There will be a Quality Housing Development Opportunities roundtable meeting from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
From 2:30-3:30 p.m., citizens will get the opportunity to speak with Gov. Dennis Daugaard and state officials one-on-one during a constituent outreach hour at the Canton Depot.
A coffee hour concludes the day at 3:30 p.m. This will also be held at the Depot.
