DAKOTA POINT, SD -
The Pennington County Sheriff's Office says a 17-year-old male is in critical condition Wednesday
afternoon after falling from a cliff into water at Sheridan Lake.
A news release says deputies were called to the area of Dakota Point, near Sheridan lake, around 11:35 Tuesday night.
The investigation shows the male was with a group of friends who were cliff jumping into the lake. The victim reportedly slipped and fell down the cliff into the water. He was taken to Regional Hospital.
Alcohol was present at the scene but it's not clear if it was a factor in the fall.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
