Autopsy: Correctional Officer Died Of Blunt Force Injury

SIOUX FALLS, SD -
A coroner has determined that the correctional officer killed at the State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls died from blunt force injury.
The autopsy report lists the causes of death as traumatic head injury, blunt force injury and assault.
Ronald E. Johnson died April 12.
Authorities say he was attacked during an escape attempt by two inmates. The inmates, Rodney Berget and Eric Robert, are charged with murder.
